OPS performs non-structural, non-permit handyman work only. We focus on first-floor and exterior entry areas we can safely access from the ground. We do not enter attics or basements and do not perform licensed trades such as electrical, plumbing lines, HVAC, or gas.

- Seniors & older adults: We explain each step plainly, confirm what’s being changed, and give you time to ask questions.
- Family caregivers: We can communicate by phone, text, or email if you are helping a loved one from out of town.
- Seasonal & absentee owners: We can work from photos, send progress updates, and provide before-and-after pictures of the work area.
- Busy families: We help you tackle the “safety list” you’ve been worried about but haven’t had time to get to.
Pricing for Home Safety Upgrades
Home safety work is billed under our standard handyman model with clear, upfront expectations.
- Handyman rate: $125 per labor hour.
- Minimum service call: $250 deposit, due at booking, covering up to 2 hours of labor.
- Time overage: $35 per additional 30 minutes beyond the initial 2 hours.
Every home and entry point is different. We usually start with photos of the area and a short description of who will be using the space (for example, wheelchair user, walker, or unsteady on steps).
After reviewing your photos and access details, we’ll provide a quote range and outline next steps so there are no surprises.
Specialty materials such as grab bars, railings, ramp lumber, and non-slip treads are charged separately from labor.
OPS performs non-structural, non-permit work only. We do not modify major structural elements, perform licensed trade work, or install complex mechanical systems. If a project requires permits or licensed professionals, we will let you know before any work is scheduled.
